Work History:
2008 – Internship with designer Aimee McWilliams.
My work with McWilliams consisted mainly of pattern cutting, often adapting elements of existing patterns for new garments. I also created toiles which, along with the completed pattern, would be sent to the factory where the couture garment was to be made.
Working with McWilliams in her studio was educational and fascinating; it was a fantastic experience to work alongside such a talented and dedicated professional.
2007/2008 – Internships at London Fashion Week.
During the past 3 LFWs I have worked for Vauxhaull Fashion Scout, where 'Up and Coming' designers are showcased alongside recurring fashion houses. The work is always varied and enjoyable. I am mostly involved backstage; coordinating garments, shoes and accessories and dressing the models. I always look forward to London Fashion Week, and have been fortunate enough to work for some distinguished labels, including Edward Sexton, Elliot Atkinson and Victim.
